"Prepare Your Heart"

Jesus gave a parable that reveals four types of soil in hearts that must be dealt with when it comes to hearing and receiving the word of God. One type of soil is hard, one is stoney, one is crowded with thorns and thistles. And then there’s a heart that is cultivated and prepared for the seeding of God’s word.

Notice that in the parable, just like in the real world of agriculture, the seed does not prepare the soil. 
The soil must already be prepared before the seed can take root and grow properly.

We have observed that the soil of people’s hearts must be prepared by a Godly holistic process. That process involves intentionality, planning, releasing expressions of love, gentleness, kindness, wisdom, coaching, counseling and therapy; as people are working through life circumstances, situations, events, and mishaps. And never overlook the vital role of intercession through prayer.
