Founders of the STEP Forward Life Institute
Chris and Carol Green are a husband-wife (domestic missionary) team with one calling, one purpose and one mission: Renovations in Hearts and Homes. They have been faithfully married over 40 years and they have three adult sons, two daughters-in-love, two grandchildren, and a God-chosen few people throughout the world who call them 'mom and dad'.
Domestic missionaries are ordained ministers (servants) commissioned by their local/ home church (or some other type of Apostolic oversight) to work, serve and minister in another community or city within their own country.
Chris and Carol are also professional writers. It's their passion. They are published authors, poets, contributing authors (in two international books/ one best-seller), and songwriters/ producers. All of this creativity flows from their marriage, personal and professional life experiences, and inspiration from their relationship with God through Yeshua (aka Jesus) the Christ.
Their other professional distinctions have included earning Board-certification as master mental health coaches (BCMMHC) with emphasis on Marriage and Family (Carol), and Crisis Response and Trauma Care (Chris); certified master CARE-Readiness coaches and trainers (CMLC), serving as biblical lay-counselors, ordained ministers, marriage, family and ministry coaches and mentors, holistic wellness promoters, and human value advocates. They have also been educated and trained in Christian Servanthood, Chaplaincy (Chris), and Business Administration (Chris).
For their many accomplishments and after decades of innovative work, they have received numerous awards and acknowledgements, highlighted by each being conferred a life-evidence and achievement, competency-based ministry doctorate (DSe), and two honorary doctorates (Hon.Causa).
They have been advisors to international leaders; and have been consultants/ professors/ and humanitarian statesmen; and have served as ordained, licensed and commissioned ministers for more than 30 years. They view themselves simply as nameless and faceless servants in their community.
Part of the Green's domestic missionary deployment meant stepping outside of traditional religious settings and facilities to directly connect with and serve their community. Their community-supporting initiatives have included volunteering and hosting monthly workshops in an unemployment center, on-call life coaching support and monthly training for the staff of a women's emergency shelter, providing consultation and training for local human service organizations, and collaborating with various community outreach efforts.
From that priceless wealth of experience, wisdom and insight, they created a fresh approach to mentoring, coaching and consulting services. They founded C and C Connections, LLC, a coaching and consulting business that helps organizations, ministries and community leaders build capacity in the Green's registered-trademark coaching model of CARE (Compassion, Authenticity, Respect and Empathy); the STEP Forward Life Institute, a teaching ministry that employs Searching and Learning through Biblical Counsel, Coaching and Mentoring; and the Fruitful Life Learning Community, a soul care and spiritual wellness market place ministry that connects with people through a support group gathering.
Their collaboration with local and international partners has been essential to their work with the professionals and volunteers who labor in diverse and under-served communities, and all who are seeking to inspire or experience a higher quality of life and greater purpose for living.
The Greens are not aligned with any political party, religious dogma, or 'bandwagon' social movements. They have been front-line participants in an under-the-radar, international phenomenon in which people of faith have been moving, by the thousands, outside of their traditions and buildings to carry God's love, healing and hope to their personal and professional communities.

Fruitful Life Instructor, Pastor and Certified CARE-Ready Life Coach
Madeline Clark is an ordained minister with a passion to lead hurting and rejected people to become born again in Christ, so that they can be the strong people of God they are called to be. She assists them by helping them to focus on the spiritual growth and development that’s needed to overcome their past. She is a natural nurturer who has had to overcome a lot personally; and can identify with almost anyone she comes in contact with. Her goal is to minister the love of God to all, that they may receive emotional healing and have restored faith in Him. She declares that whatever God has her hands to do, she will do it all to His glory.
Madeline Clark has been serving the Body of Christ and ministering God's word for over 30 years. She was saved and spirit filled in August of 1985 at New Day Way of the Cross Church under Bishop Myles Meredith. This is where her ministry and foundational growth began. She was licensed and officially ordained as a minister in December of 2001 under the leadership of Pastor Michael O’Dogwu, Founder of Crusaders Ministries International, and in July of 2008 she was licensed and ordained as an Elder under the leadership of Pastor Melvin Thompson II, Founder of True Worshipers Ministries, Inc. In June of 2011 she was installed as Pastor of New Zion Agape Fellowship, Inc., by the late Pastor and Founder Pastor Gloria Jenkins.
In 2016 she began studying under Chris and Carol Green and the Fruitful Life Learning Community where she successfully completed the Care-Ready Responder Training and became a certified coach in the Green's accredited CARE-Ready Coaching program; thus earning the distinction as a Certified CARE Minister.
She was set apart and ordained in Ministry Leadership by Fruitful Life Ministries because she has demonstrated decades of ministry experience. She has also served on various auxiliaries in various ministries including: Evangelism and Outreach, Worship Team, Hospitality, ministry of Helps and Prison Ministry. She is has been a Client Specialist at a Homeless Shelter where she provided Life Skills classes and Life Coaching for women.
It is our honor to acknowledge her many years of service and provide ordination and covering for her ministry appointment as a pastor and teacher, as well as other multi-fold ministry that comes forth through her life, and provide covering for her ministry role as a mature elder and servant-leader in the Body of Christ.
Fruitful Life Instructor and Servant Leader: Intercessory Prayer
Mary Dennis is Fruitful Life’s longest standing member. She has led us in Intercessory prayer in weekly public gatherings and continues to stand in intercession for this ministry on a daily basis. She has earned STEP Forward certifications in Biblical Foundations, Ministry and Community Services, and in Family and Community Leadership. She also earned a certificate of completion as a Community CARE-Ready Responder.
Mary came to Fruitful Life when it began in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in September of 2004.
Before coming to Fruitful Life, she served faithfully in Emmanuel Church of God in Christ for over 40 years. Most notably she was known for her service in Intercessory Prayer. She held noon-day prayer gatherings in homes, before it was moved into the church facility. In one of those prayer gatherings, her daughter (Carol) was filled with the Holy Spirit. Little did she know that her daughter would become an ordained minister.
She was an appointed ministry gift to her church, serving in helps and administration. She assisted her sister, the late Willa Mae Barbee in the church’s food bank and served as the church’s secretary. She worked as a manager at Presbyterian Apartments, a complex specifically designed for senior citizens. There, God made her a gift of compassion and encouragement to elderly citizens. She was greatly loved and the residents absolutely hated to see her go when her employment came to an end there.
She is a fulfillment of 1 Corinthians 12:28 (NKJV) "And God has appointed these in the church: gifts of healing, helps, administrations…."
It is our honor to acknowledge her many years of service and provide ordination and covering for her ministry appointment in intercessory prayer; prayer which has led to miracles and healings, along with the gift of helps and administration; and we acknowledge her ministry role as a mature elder and servant in the Body of Christ.
